MEET SHAN

He knows the place.
He knows the stakes.

A business owner. A dad. A neighbor with a reason to step up.

Shan grew up in Corpus Christi and has built businesses in South Texas. He understands the work behind a paycheck, a family home, and a small business.

He’s running to bring that experience to the appraisal district board—with a focus on fairness, clear information, and responsible oversight.

THE PRIORITIES

Local leadership.
Everyday impact.

The appraisal process should work for the people it serves. These are the priorities Shan brings to the table.

01

Fair appraisals

Support accurate, consistent appraisals and a process property owners can understand. Fairness should be the standard for every home and business.

02

Open government

Push for clearer notices, accessible meetings, and understandable budgets. Public decisions deserve public visibility.

03

Real accountability

Bring a business owner’s scrutiny to spending, ask hard questions, and keep the community’s interests at the center of board decisions.

A SMALL BALLOT ITEM. A BIG RESPONSIBILITY.

What does the
appraisal district
actually do?

Understanding the office is the first step to making an informed choice.

Explore the board’s role
01

Oversee the district.

The board selects the chief appraiser and adopts the district’s budget. That makes strong oversight and responsible spending central to this job.

02

Know who does what.

NCAD appraises property. Local taxing units set tax rates. The separate Appraisal Review Board hears protests. Directors do not decide individual appraisals.

03

Represent the whole county.

Place 3 is an at-large seat. It represents Nueces County as a whole, rather than a single neighborhood or commissioner precinct.

Office information: Texas Comptroller & Nueces CAD.

WHY IT’S PERSONAL

For our families.
For what’s next.

Behind every property is a story. A first home. A family business. A place to put down roots.

For Shan, this campaign is about the community his children are growing up in—and the people building their futures alongside them.
